The purpose of the contract is to carry out the work necessary for the construction of collectors and a waste-water treatment plant to convey and treat the waste water generated in the municipality of Vallmoll.<\/p>\n<p>To convey the wastewater intercepted in the municipality, a gravity sewer is planned along a length of 968.8 m in corrugated HDPE with a diameter of 400 mm SN8. The WWTP has been designed with a capacity of 400 m\u00b3\/day. To cope with the high daily variability of both flow and pollutant loads and to guarantee the required pollution removal, the planned treatment solution for the water line consists of a coarse roughing, headworks pumping, pre-treatment, a homogenisation tank, a primary treatment and a biological treatment with prolonged aeration of the Anoxic\/Oxic (A\/O) type. As regards the sludge line, a thickener, centrifugal dewatering and storage of dry sludge in a silo are planned.<\/p>\n<p>The works, which are scheduled to start in February 2021, are scheduled to be completed in March 2023. This will be followed by the start-up and operation period, which will last for a further year.
