{"id":28442,"date":"2026-03-27T12:31:36","date_gmt":"2026-03-27T11:31:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arema.com\/?p=28442"},"modified":"2026-03-27T12:34:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-27T11:34:45","slug":"arema-completes-the-works-on-the-new-sant-gregori-wwtp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arema.com\/en\/2026\/03\/27\/arema-completes-the-works-on-the-new-sant-gregori-wwtp\/","title":{"rendered":"AREMA COMPLETES THE WORKS ON THE NEW SANT GREGORI WWTP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AREMA (Rubau Group)&nbsp;has completed the refurbishment works of the Sant Gregori Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), a project promoted by the Catalan Water Agency that represents a significant improvement in the capacity and efficiency of water treatment in the municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new facility responds to the growth experienced in recent years, increasing its capacity from an initial 240 m\u00b3\/day to an infrastructure designed to treat up to 1,000 m\u00b3\/day, thus ensuring both current and future service needs of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project has included the construction of a new treatment plant alongside the existing one, incorporating a complete water and sludge treatment line, as well as new auxiliary infrastructure such as collectors, overflow structures, and control and industrial buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, one of the most notable aspects of the project has been the environmental restoration of the surrounding area. The former WWTP lagoons have been cleaned and transformed into a natural space that promotes biodiversity, becoming a habitat for various native species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new facilities also incorporate sustainability criteria, such as energy generation through photovoltaic panels installed on the roofs of the buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project once again reflects Grupo Rubau\u2019s commitment to developing sustainable infrastructure that brings value to both the territory and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AREMA (Rubau Group)&nbsp;has completed the refurbishment works of the Sant Gregori Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), a project promoted by the Catalan Water Agency that represents a significant improvement in the capacity and efficiency of water treatment in the municipality.
